 Alma Machnes-Kass

אלמה מכנס-קז

Alma Machness-Kass, a photographer with a BA from the Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design and an MA in the Interdisciplinary Arts Program at Tel Aviv University.

In recent years, her work has focused on encounters with people and places on the margins of Israeli society, those who are forced to fight for their place, voice, and visibility. In parallel, Alma teaches photography courses to a variety of communities and sees photography as an opening for human connection, shared learning, and the empowerment tools that are inseparable from the photographic practice itself.

Her work has been exhibited in numerous exhibitions in Israel and around the world, including "Like a Dance in the Dark" a solo exhibition in the streets of Paris, “People of torches" a solo exhibition in the streets of Ofakim, and "Stand Strong" a solo exhibition in the streets of Jerusalem. Her works are included in many collections in Israel and around the world.
