Shay Zilberman
שי זילברמן
Shay Zilberman (1976) works in a variety of media, with a focus on hand collage and printmaking. He lives and works in Jaffa.
Zilberman completed his studies with honors at the Beaux-Arts in Paris and studied fashion design at the Royal Academy of Antwerp. He is a graduate of the fellowship program at Be'lma, a house of Hebrew culture in Tel Aviv.
He has had solo exhibitions at the Petach Tikva Museum of Art, the Artists' House in Tel Aviv, the Herzliya Museum of Contemporary Art, the Wilfrid Israel Museum of Art and Oriental Studies in Kibbutz Hazorea, the Artists' Workshops in Tel Aviv, and Galleria In G'e in Tel Aviv. He has also participated in numerous group exhibitions at the Israel Museum, the Tel Aviv Museum of Art, the Providence College Gallery in Rhode Island, the Haifa Museum, and the Jerusalem Print Workshop.
Zilberman is the winner of the Alima Rita Prize for Printmaking for 2022 from the Mishkan Art Center in Ein Harod and the Anne and Arie Rosenblatt Prize for Contemporary Israeli Art for 2021.
His works are in many museum collections, including the Israel Museum, the Tel Aviv Museum of Art, the Mishkan Art Center in Ein Harod, the Herzliya Museum of Contemporary Art, the Petach Tikva Museum, the Rishon LeZion Museum, the Knesset Collection, the Ha'aretz Newspaper Collection, and private collections.
